#08:59:40bkuhnThat's why denials and I kept going back.
#08:59:50bkuhndenials, in the end, had every dinner in IND there, I think. :)

#11:18:45bkuhnEveryone have a good trip back!
#11:18:48bkuhnMine is nearly complete. :)
#11:23:09denialsbkuhn: you'll have to tell me about this upgrade keno sometime, maybe when I get a flight that actually has a distinction between business and economy class (assuming that's the deal)
#11:24:22denials will, alas, not be having his leftover indian food as his hyperactive fridge has frozen it
#11:32:17bkuhndenials: You have to get status on an airline to play.
#11:32:26bkuhnUsually, status is 25k miles within a year.
#11:32:31bkuhnThere are higher status levels thereafter
#11:32:38bkuhndenials: I'm sorr your food was frozen.
#11:44:59denialsbkuhn: thanks for the insight; I guess I'll have to start flying to New Zealand or something to join in the fun
#11:45:16denials resumes packing

#12:06:44bkuhndenials: E_TOO_MUCH_TRAVEL for me. Upgrade Keno (and occasionally winning it) is the one pleasure I get out of. Well, that and days like yesterday where I get to hang out and pretend I'm actually a software developer still. :)

#14:15:30denials is going to pull bug 959441 into OpenSRF
#14:15:30pinesol_greenLaunchpad bug 959441 in OpenSRF "Java (JSON) Gateway Interface" (affected: 1, heat: 6) [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/959441

#14:42:43denials notes that json.noarch (Crockford's json-for-java lib) is available in fedora repo
#14:55:59denialsbah. I can't even make the base java libs. Struggling to get past "Cache.java:2: package com.danga.MemCached does not exist" despite having a java memcached jar in the classpath. I'm too tired, or too dumb.
#14:56:29denialsjava_memcached-release_2.0.1.jar definitely contains classes in com/danga/MemCached/
#14:56:55denialsjust for fun, http://woodstox.codehaus.org/ is 404'ing
#15:08:28denialsberick: threw the base PDF from the TPAC talk up - check email. You want me to blog about it, or do you want to? I'll also check on the recording quality - will be crappy, but some people might be desperate enough to listen
#15:12:10denialsthrew the epub in for good measure

#17:26:30pranjal710while installing opensrf on ubuntu 12.04 I get this error message:
#17:26:31pranjal710configure: error: ***OpenSRF requires ncurses development headers
#17:26:40pranjal710what could be the reasons?
#17:27:58bshumpranjal710: Sounds like we'll have to poke a bit at the installation on Ubuntu 12.04 OS. That was just released a few days ago, so I'm not sure if folks have gotten to testing it very thoroughly yet. (it should be on some "to-do lists")
#17:28:14bshum is actually downloading the server ISO for it right now :)
#17:28:50pranjal710which OS would be the best to work for openSRF??
#17:28:56pranjal71010.10?
#17:29:05bshumpranjal710: It's known to work with the previous LTS 10.04
#17:29:26pranjal710ok, thanks
#17:32:34bshumPurple background.... well that's different :D

#17:42:24bshum@later tell pranjal710 Curious, what version of OpenSRF were you trying to install on Ubuntu 12.04? (hopefully it was either OpenSRF master from the git branch or OpenSRF 2.1.0-RC1 or better from the site). I'm not sure, but I don't think OpenSRF 2.0 was made compatible for 12.04.
#17:42:24pinesol_greenbshum: The operation succeeded.

#19:44:48denials having fun trying to remove noise from the recording. yay audacity! sound quality is terrible though.
#19:45:20hopkinsjuWhat's the recording?
#19:48:58jeffdoes anyone else "hear" the words spoken in irc in the speaker's voice after a conference? :-)
#19:49:12denialsheh
#19:49:42denialshopkinsju: I'm working on the tpac recording at the moment
#19:50:02denialsI know nothing about sound editing though, so it's probably a waste of time
#19:51:36hopkinsjudenials: I didn't know there was a recording. I'm no expert, but I do have fancy software. Want me to give it a try?
#19:51:50hopkinsjuBetter to waste two people time I think.
#19:52:37jeffguess i made an AddedContent.pm change without restarting apache last night.
#19:53:10denialsjeff: ff- hah - sudden breakage?
#19:53:11jeffsyslog revealed my syntax error, now fixed and re-pushed. going to have to verify some tests to ensure that the cleaning of isbns is working as expected.
#19:53:26jeffyeah, apache wasn't running after syslog restarted it this morning around 6am. :-)
#19:53:31denialshopkinsju: sure! audacity is pretty fancy, I just haven't dug too deeply into it
#19:54:24denialsI think entire sections of the talk will be lost anyway, even if we manage to clean out the static
#19:55:49denialsI understand now why sound people for film capture a few seconds of silence before recording though :)
#19:57:13denials is glad jeff seems to have made it home safely.
#19:58:44jeffyes, likewise! :-)
#19:59:12jeffso, looks like i didn't have a valid test of AddedContent.pm last night. going to need to fix the "isbn cleaning" bit later.
#20:00:01jeffhrm. i HAD Business::ISBN in there at one point.
#20:00:05jeffmumble mumble...
#20:01:42denialsooh. Oh, on the bright side, the oversight board & developer update recording came through loud and clear
#20:02:17denialsI guess that's what you get for using a real serious microphone instead of the tiny little built-in mic in the sansa clip+
#20:02:30hopkinsjuNice. I didn't realize anything was being recorded.
#20:03:05denialsYeah, that could be a problem. I announced it at the beginning of the board update, but lots of people filed in after the fact :/
#20:03:19hopkinsjuMaybe next year will be the year we start doing video/audio for all of the sessions.
#20:03:48denialsThat's what the vancouver folks promised - somehow, someway.
#20:04:30hopkinsjuShouldn't be too terribly hard if we can just get people to talk into the microphone on the podium.
#20:04:33denialsAt least my snowball microphone has proven itself, I can record some sessions with that in the future
#20:04:48hopkinsjuOh, yeah, I hear those are nice.
#20:05:06hopkinsjuAnd aren't they only $100?
#20:05:24denials$79 on sale if you're lucky :)
#20:14:50denialshowever, it also got me stoppped at security twice. Looks weird in a carry-on bag.

#21:35:01denials@later tell hopkinsju and the TPAC talk is at TPAC_customization_Evergreen2012.wav.7z
#21:35:01pinesol_greendenials: The operation succeeded.
#21:39:23denialswlayton: that goes for you too; note that it expands to 430MB of WAV and is horribly noisy.
