#11:09:45Dyrcona installed Ubuntu 12.04 daily on one of his family's Mac Books because his 11-year-old daughter asked for it.
#11:10:01Dyrcona is proud of his girl.
#11:42:54tsbereMuch better use of a Mac than what they come with, IMO
#11:44:45Dyrconathat's more or less what she said. :)

#18:23:47enhancinWhen I delete from biblio.record_entry, is there a way to undelete or re-use those TCNs?
#18:41:59phasefx_enhancin: you can undelete the record, and maybe overlay it with a different record? I'm not sure what that would do with regards to the TCN. I think TCN's are horrible, and would advocate the use of the bib id as tcn setting :)

#18:53:04tsberephasefx_: That just makes them redundant, which is a different kind of horrible, IMO ;)
#18:59:38phasefx_yeah :)
#19:00:51phasefx_sadly, the way TCN's work the way they do now is because some libraries used them as metadata; they could tell things about the record by the TCN
#19:05:51enhancinthe id is the tcn_setting, but they're set to deleted and when I try to add some with the same id it says it already exists..even though it's deleted
#21:23:02phasefx_enhancin: I suspect I don't have my head completely in your problem space, but maybe do something like UPDATE biblio.record_entry SET tcn_value = 'foo_' || tcn_value WHERE deleted = 't'; ?

#23:42:01enhancinI kind of have a new issue now...when I'm extracting the holdings it says that the barcode field is a non-multi field...when there are multiple occurances of it in my last sample it didn't complain, but this one it's apparently complaining...not sure how to single out a record in the middle of the file
#23:45:41enhancinoh..found the record..apparently it DOES have two i subfield records in the 945 field
