#09:41:55StuartHi Guys.....Well I'm nearly there. I can connect to me fresh install with staff client. However when I try to login I get "TypeError: branch has no properties" I ran the autogen to no effect. Any Ideas?

#10:12:31phasefxStuart: I'd check your org hierarchy against your org unit types, make sure it all makes sense (that the depths in the types match the depth of the org units assigned to them)
#10:38:51artunit has joined #evergreen
#10:42:04Stuartusing the config.cgi I see no way of deleteing an entry. How do I do this?
#10:48:41phasefxStuart: you can try using http://hostname/conify/en-US/global/actor/org_unit.html instead, but may run into trouble if what you're trying to delete has actually been used somewhere. In that case, you'll need to go into the database and manipulate things

#12:21:28StuartOK I checked my org tree and everything appears to be ok. re-ran autogen and get ann error dialog. Results pasted next.
#12:21:31lisppaste3Stuart pasted "Logging IN" at http://paste.lisp.org/display/92320
#12:21:59StuartThis is logging in as admin open-ils
#12:23:42gdunbar has left #evergreen
#12:27:33moodaepoStuart: I'm assuming you've done the usual trouble shooting?
#12:32:32moodaepoStuart: Using srfsh 'login admin open-ils' and enter 'request open-ils.actor open-ils.actor.org_tree.descendants.retrieve 1,0' same error?
#12:39:00dbsStuart: and you have plenty of RAM on this system?
#12:47:26moodaepoStaurt: Also search evergreen-ils.org for "method=open-ils.actor.org_tree.descendants.retrieve" gives some interesting results you might want to trudge through.

#13:15:48Stuartdbs: how much ram do i generally need...moodaepo ran command you suggested and got the same error
#13:16:52dbsStuart: in a virtual image, if I'm running a complete graphical environment with stock opensrf.xml configuration, 1GB isn't enough to run everything + the staff client
#13:17:19brendan_ga has joined #evergreen
#13:20:34Stuartdbs: I am running on a dedicated machine (not virtual) with 512mb and 4Gb Swap. I guess I need to get more ram?
#13:22:18dbsuh, yeah, if you look at /var/log/messages you'll probably see messages about OOM killer (out of memory) killing off your database, etc
#13:27:54Stuartdbs: ok I looked at /var/log/messages but nothing about OOM killer. Will put more ram in though anyway.

#14:24:05pmplett is now known as pmp_afk
#14:47:09moodaepoIs there a list of formats that records can be made available from a EG catalog via Z39.50?
#14:47:59moodaepoThe wikidoc gives an example of marc but not anything else.
#14:51:51wlaytonThe API "open-ils.ingest.full.serial.object.readonly" appears to be mapped twice, once under OpenILS::Application::Ingest::Authority and another time under OpenILS::Application::Ingest::Serial

#14:56:40pmp_afk is now known as pmplett
#15:04:06dbswlayton: awesome! you spin the wheel, you takes your chances
#15:05:31berickwlayton: it's actually duplicated in the code or just advertised (via introspect) as an API call for both services?
#15:06:32dbs is removing
#15:07:58wlaytonberick: In the code. One (incorrectly) calls "ro_authority_ingest_single_object", the other "ro_serial_ingest_single_object"
#15:08:23dbs says "what? what? I don't see that in _my_ trunk!"
#15:08:35dbs(of course, I just committed that correction - thanks wlayton!)
#15:08:58berick++
#15:12:17wlaytonthanks dbs
#15:13:25dbswlayton: I'll commit your marc2sre patch too. What we really need in marc2sre is some way of mapping serial records to libraries, to make it useful for mortals who don't like editing the output manually.
#15:17:22dbswlayton++
#15:18:03wlaytondbs: Yeah, manually isn't going to be a good option for us (14500 MFHD records to import during our upcoming migration).
#15:18:49dbswlayton: do you have anything in the incoming MFHD to key off of? Library shortname is an obvious option - if you have a match.
#15:20:13wlaytondbs: We have a code from III that combines lib + shelf location. I was thinking of using a lookup table in some Perl to just map it to the correct Evergreen location.
#15:22:32wlaytonI'm just starting to tackle that particular problem right now (for both our MFHD and our bib holdings import)
#15:23:38wlayton...and by "tackle" I mean "stare dazzedly and ponder with my sickness addled brain"
#15:26:51dbswlayton: if by "location" you mean "shelving location" - well, there ain't that at the moment. serial.record_entry just maps directly to library. with the contents of the 852 displayed in the OPAC as the call number / location
#15:26:59dbsupside: lots of room for improvement!
#15:56:30_bott_I was trying to ask... did you look in the other pairs to see if there were names?
#15:56:47_bott_DOH! ...wrong tab
