Evergreen Libraries
Here are libraries known to be running Evergreen in production or who have installed or plan to implement Evergreen open-source library automation software. If you know of another Evergreen installation to add to this list, drop us a line.
- Evergreen is currently in use (and was first put into production) by PINES, a consortium of over 270 public libraries in Georgia.
- SITKA is a growing Evergreen consortium in British Columbia. At least sixteen SITKA libraries will migrate to Evergreen in 2008. Live installations include:
- The Robertson Library at the University of Prince Edward Island is the first academic library to use Evergreen in production.
- Project Conifer: Laurentian University is committed to Evergreen and is collaborating with Georgia Public Library Service, British Columbia, McMaster University, Algoma University, and the University of Windsor on acquisitions and serials services.
- Kent County Public Library is the first public library in Maryland to use an open source library automation system, and the first Evergreen library fully hosted by Equinox Software, the support and development company for Evergreen.
- Marshall Public Library is the first known Evergreen library in Missouri, and the second fully-hosted Evergreen library.
- The Michigan Library Consortium and Grand Rapids Public Library are developing a shared Evergreen library system. The first live implementation for this project is the Branch District Library
- The Indiana Open Source ILS Initiative will see 19 libraries come online in a shared Evergreen system. In August, 2008, the Hussey-Mayfield Library became the first (known) Evergreen library in Indiana.
- In 2008, King County Library System issued an RFP for Evergreen development, implementation, and support.
